Aerial Photographs of the Isle of Man on the Internet

To have a look at a large scale image of your favourite part of the Island try:

www1.getmapping.com
and type in the OS Grid Ref, Postcode or Village/Town name in the search facility.

A good web site is  ISLAND IMAGES
from which I've borrowed the following image to play around with:

Jurby Head - crop marks on the right of the photo. These may not be archaeological, more likely to be geological, although the rectangular shape is quite interesting.

If you then switch this to a colour negative image you get:

and then you convert it to an embossed image:

a simple black and white picture gives you:

a black and white negative looks like:


Another aerial photos from  ISLAND IMAGES  -
Bride Village, in the far north of the Island. The Church seems to situated in an almost circular feature.
