looking straight into the burial chamber
one of the stones has an iron
splitting wedge jammed into it !
This "Circle" comprises a horse-shoe shaped arrangement
of uprights around a single burial chamber.
There are supposed to be "cup marks" on the outside of the stone behind
the burial chamber, but I couldn't see them! I will look again sometime.
Date: probably 3000-2500 BC.
Access: Public Access is allowed from the
Old Castletown Road
