If you follow the footpath from the "Watersplash" over the bridge and up the hillside you will after a short while see the above view. A standing stone near a tiny stream and beyond it two white quartz cairns.


In fact there are several pieces of quartz and several lumps and bumps.


Is this the remains of a 3rd cairn ?

More lumps and bumps on the way back. Tthese are on the OS map as "hut circles".
